Today we will work again in origami technique and you can make a five-pointed star. In this master class I will show the instructions, how to make an origami star.
An origami star
Total Time: 20 minutes
Step 1: Get a square of paper
Prepare a square of colored paper. I will use red, but you can use any color.
Step 2: Make a triangle from the square
First, fold the square diagonally to make a triangle.
Step 3: Fold the triangle in half by joining the bottom corners
Now fold this figure in half. You should have another triangle, but a smaller one.
Step 4: Unfold the triangle
Unfold the triangle so that the base is at the bottom.
Step 5: Unfold the piece
One side corner has 2 layers. In your case, it’s the left corner. Hold the top layer of the corner and then unfold it to the right, matching it with the other side corner.
Step 6: Make a difficult fold
Then connect the resulting center line to the right side of the triangle.
Step 7: Flip the blank
Flip the star blank over to the other side.
Step 8: Make an “up” fold
Here, fold the bottom right corner to the left and up.
Step 9: Make two points of the star
There are 2 layers in the bottom small corner. Gently hold the inner layer and fold it outside. This way you should have the bottom 2 points of your star.
Step 10: Make a fold in the middle
To form the side point, fold the left corner to the right (with only one layer), connecting it to the bottom right point.
Step 11: Make the star’s side point
Then unfold the corner in the opposite direction, forming a small crease. The protruding point should be in the center of the left side.
Step 12: Start creating the second side point of the star
To form the second side point of the star, flip the left corner to the right.
Step 13: You should have 4 points of the star
Fold the corner first to the left and down.
Step 14: Make a fifth points of the star
Then unfold it away to form another point, which should be symmetrical to the left.
Step 15: Flip the craft
You should end up with the same origami five-pointed star.
