How to Crochet a Beautiful Flower?

In this master class I will show you the technology of how to crochet a beautiful flower. First you will crochet a platform – the base on which the petals will be crocheted. Bound from thin mercerized thread such a flower looks more elegant and can decorate a lady’s suit, hair clip or crocheted bag.

Materials and tools:

  • Yarn from mercerized cotton, which you need to separate into two threads. The yarn is quite thin but fluffy, so the lines of the flower will not be very clear.
  • Hook #2 mm.

Step 1: Start crocheting the lilac platform

First you need to crochet the platform. Then dial 6 chain stitch (ch) in round (rnd). In the round crochet 12 single crochetes (sc). The foundation will be crocheted in a spiral, so in this case do not crochet the turning chain.

Step 2: Knit all the stitches at the back of the loop

Front loop will create a clear line on the foundation, consisting of the front parts of the tied loops. For the second row, crochet on the twelve single crochet (sc) that were crocheted in the first row. Work 1 single crochet (sc) for the back half loop, and then in the same loop we work double crochet (dc). Then in each crochet of the previous row work 2 Double crochet (dc) in the through back of loop (tbl).

Step 3: Make a mark on the blank

If it is difficult to navigate on the foundation, you can mark the beginning of the spiral with a contrasting yarn, although the spiral is clearly visible. In the 3rd row, alternate 2 double crochet (dc) in one loop and 1 double crochet (dc) in the loop of the previous row.

Step 4: Finish crocheting the foundation of the crafts

In the 4th row, work double crochet (dc) in a loop and 2 double crochet (dc) in a loop of the previous row. When you end this row opposite the beginning of the spiral, work a half stitch, Single crochet (sc) and a slip stitch (slst).

Step 5: Start crocheting a pink flower

Crochet rows 3 and 4 in this manner if you want the flower to be less bulky. If you want the flower to be as big as in photo 1, work 2 double crochet (dc) in one loop in both rows. You can also make the diameter of the flower smaller by making a spiral of two rows instead of three. Now on the finished base, first on the round and then spirally crochet 2 double crochet (dc) in each front half loop.
